JAMIE MOORE – Next boxes on the 3rd April 2010 Hayemaker event at the MEN arena where he will compete at Middleweight in a 10 round International contest. He was offered the Darren Barker fight but the team declined this as it was over 8 years ago when he first fought for a British title and we all believe he is beyond domestic level. A inspired performance at the new weight is expected and then we can look for World opportunities.

TONY QUIGLEY – Also fights on this card in a 8 round contest and is also now campaigning at Middleweight . Tony offered to take the Darren Barker fight on this show but was turned down at the other end , it should also be noted he accepted a proposal to fight Brian Magee for the European Super-Middleweight title on this promotion but negotiations collapsed.

CARL DILKS – Was gutted to see his British Eliminator with George Groves fall through due to George getting a shot at the Commonwealth title. Carl is still on the show but only doing a 6 round contest with the promise of first crack at Groves should he win.

GARY DAVIES – Will have to wait for a shot at Stuart Hall and the English Bantamweight title as Hall as pulled out of the schedule 19th March event at Leigh stating a preference to go to purse bids. Gary now boxes Andy Bell in a round contest.

27th BLACKPOOL TOWER SHOW – Tickets priced at £35.00 are still available for this great venue and event which will be topped by local hero Brian Rose fighting for the British Masters International title against Frenchman Bertrand Aloa supported with a 7 fight under card . Tickets will be available on the night.

CARL DILCS – Boxed the ears of Charles Adamu in his challenge for the Commonwealth Super-Middleweight title on Friday night only to see the judges get it wrong again and he lost by a split decision. Adamu was just throwing punches like a drunk , missing by miles whilst Dilks kept calm and picked him off with the jab both scoring and hurting the former champion who once went 12 rounds with Carl Frock , not one person has said they thought Dilks lost, including SKY who had him 4 rounds in front and Boxing news who had him 6 rounds in front – when is this incompetence going to end ????.

JOLLY BOYS RESULTS FROM BOLTON ON 20TH DECEMBER 2009

TREVOR CREWE – Lost 40-37 to Terry Carruthers who after an equal first round found Trevor to easy to hit and not throwing punches after getting into position ,therefore making it easy to land. Trevor looked in great physical condition but like his last fight seemed to tire and was loading up with everything.

MIKE STAFFORD – Won the first round against Billy Boyle and then seemed to quickly run out of gas leaving Boyle to do the most work and win on points. At one stage Mike was looking like he was treading in a pool of water and did not look like he would survive, but he battled on as best he could to see the end out.

TERRY FLANNIGAN – Improves in every fight and stopped Delroy Spencer in the 3rd with a good body assault which saw the referee jump in , Delroy had already been over. Terry moves to 5-0 and it is time to step him up now.

JOSH WARRINGTON – The 18year old moved to 2-0 with a controlled display of aggressive boxing winning every round against Pavol Senkos.

STEPHEN JENNINGS – Beat Yussif Al Hamedi on points in what was a messy contest as expected , but was more about the win than looking good and he got it.

18th December show at Liverpool Olympia Cancelled

VIP Promotions have had to cancel the above event due to Mike Robinson pulling out of the Top of the bill CA title contest against Paul Edwards with a back injury. The show had also lost its chief support fight when Brett Flourney withdrew with flue from his 8 round contest against Kevin McKintyre and with Carl Dilcs out to take a Commonwealth title opportunity it left a very weak . VIP like all other promotion Companies are very much aware of the difficulties of matching fighters at this moment and were concerned at not giving value for money in what are difficult times

TYRONE NURSE – The Huddersfield lightweight moved to 11-0 with a 6 x3 minutes points victory over Welterweight Willie Warburton in what turned out to be a very competitive fight. Warburton came in on the last few days after original booked opponent Danny Parkinson who was to weight 10stone 1lb on the day took a money job the previous week against Mark Thompson and got stopped , surely the board need to look at this !!!

CHAD GAYNOR – The young Rotherham lad had a 1st round stoppage against Karl Allen who is normally very durable but on this occasion was caught cold with a great left hook at the start of the contest. Karl went over , got up for the 8 count and continued only for Chad to jump on him throwing a barrage of unanswered punches leaving the referee no alternative but to stop the contest.

KIERAN FARRELL – Has been added onto the Liverpool Olympia bill on the 18th December to replace Carl Dilcs who now boxes for a Commonwealth title on the same night. The bill is topped with a CA title scrap between to scousers Paul Edwards and Mike Robinson , which should be a cracker.

TREVOR CREWE – Jumps straight back on the horse after his shock loss last week and will fight on the VIP Jolly boys XMAS dinner on the 2oth December .

GARY SYKES – Ryan Barrett has pulled out from there English title fight on 11th December SKY show and this means Gary must now wait until January 2010 to fight again. We hope to announce a meaningful fight later in the week , it is muted that Carl Johansson may be up for the job.

MARK MORAN – Is back in the gym doing light training and hopes to fight again in March next year
