Since their first show in April 1996 VIP Boxing have grown into the leading independent Boxing Promoters in Manchester.
As well as maintaining a high quality on their own shows they have developed a good working relationship with all the major TV promoters. Originally they worked exclusively with Frank Maloney who led Panix Promotions and co promoted both Sky and Eurosport dates with them. Since Frank Maloney moved to Sportsnetwork, VIP have opened up the horizons and now work with all the big players including Barry Hearn, Mick Hennessy and Frank Warren. Due to this success promoter Stephen Wood opted to take out a managers license from the British Boxing Board of Control and over the years has helped develop the careers of many a talented fighter – see VIP boxers columns.

20TH JAN 2012 – Steve Harkins and Tom Carrus box on the Vaughan Promotions show in Liverpool topped by Derry Matthews.
21st JAN 2012 – John Quigley , Kevin Satchell and Gary Davies box on the Maloney show in Liverpool topped by David price.
28th JAN 2012 – Nick Quigley fights Eric Ochieng on a Matchroom show in London for the vacant English title at Light-Middleweight title .
3rd FEB 2012 – VIP co promote a Boxnation event at Bowlers in Manchester topped by Ovil McKenzie v Tony Dodson for the Commonwealth Light Heavy Weight title . Chief support is Ronnie Heffron with undercard includes Warren Tansey , Terry Flannigan , Mark Evans , Jamie Brown with a few more to be added.
4th FEB 2012 – Jazza Dickens boxes a 6 round contest on the Hatton Promotions card in Bolton topped by Scott Quigg.
25th FEB 2012 – VIP promote in Oldham with Martin Grainger , Shayne Singleton , Liam Taylor , Johnny Ward , Anthony Smith , Rhys Roberts ,Aaron Michael JNR , Matthew Ryan and and Sam Omidi .
10th MARCH 2012 – VIP promote in Liverpool with Mike Robinson topping the bill and a full undercard of VIP Liverpool boxers to be confirmed.
23rd MARCH 2012 – VIP co promote in Hull with Steve Smiths Boxing academy topped by Tommy Coyle.
31st MARCH 2012 – Brian Rose will have his first defense of his British Title in Blackpool with a packed undercard to be arranged.
